Charles Maples, age 75 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 in Gordon Hospital.
Charles was born on January 11, 1942, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Patrick Maples. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister. Charles enjoyed fishing, and was a loving husband and father.
Charles is survived by his wife, Debra Dotson Maples of Calhoun; four sons, Phillip Maples and his wife Kathy of Adairsville, Scott Maples of North Carolina, Raymond Maples and his wife Teresa of Rome, and Kevin Milam of Calhoun; three daughters, Kim Maples of Rome, Susan Maples of Shannon and Annette Milam and her husband Kevin Henderson of Cartersville; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, February 16th at 11 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Kirby, Reverend Vince Gulledge, and Reverend Walter Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery with Brandon Carroll, Barry Mount, Jason Mount, Thomas Dotson, Michael “Tree Man”, Avis Allen, Antonio Martinez and Frankie Coleman serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5 PM until 7 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
