Charles Edwards Lee,

Charles Edward Lee, Sr., age 76, of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday September 11th at his residence. Charles was born September 29, 1936 in Polk County, Georgia. Son of the late George Bennett Lee, Jr. and Margaret Virginia Wilson. He was a computer engineer with Controll Data Corporation prior to his retirement and a veteran of the United States Army. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Glenda Ann Lee. Survivors include two sons, Charles Lee, II of Homer, Georgia and Steven B. Lee of Calhoun, two daughters, Kathy Waldrup and Sandra Burkhardt both of Calhoun, two brothers, David Lee of North Carolina and Jerry Lee of Houston, Tx., one sister, Beth Nash of North Carolina, eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. A celebration of Charles’s life will be conducted Monday September 16th at 1pm from the Rock Bridge Community Church with Rev. Carll Converse officiating.
