Charles David Pierce, affectionately known as David, passed away on October 24, 2023, at his residence. He was born on July 16, 1960, in Calhoun, Georgia, the place that would forever hold a special place in his heart.

David was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent most of his career as a Hyster driver for Engineered Floors. His commitment to his work and the company he served earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Throughout his life, David's warm smile and kindhearted nature touched the lives of many. He had a knack for making those around him feel seen and heard. David's genuine compassion towards others was evident in the strong relationships he built with his family and friends.

He was predeced in death by his loving wife Tina Ruth Thomas Pierce, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Their unwavering love was an inspiration to all who knew them. David was also preceded in death by his parents James and Cordelia Pierce, one son Christopher Evans, two sisters, Mary Jane Baldridge and Frances Pierce, and a nephew Jeff Shaw.

David is survived by his son Michael Evans who he cherished dearly. He also had a close bond with his siblings Larry Pierce, Terry Pierce, and Barbara Pierce. They shared countless memories together, providing each other with unwavering support and love.

His nieces and nephews Vickie Baldridge, Brandon Pierce, James Pierce, Briana Pierce, Autumn Pierce, Banky Baldridge, Ricky Baldridge, Rosemary Pierce and Larry "Junior" Pierce were like an extension of David's own children. He took great joy in watching them grow and succeed in life.

David adored his grandchildren Alyssa Evans, Taylor Evans, Natalie Evans, David Evans, Grant Evans, Nevaeh Evans. Their presence brought immense happiness into his life. The love between David and his grandchildren was truly remarkable to witness.

In addition to being a loving grandfather, David also embraced the role of a great-grandfather to Josiah and Isla. He treasured every moment spent with them and found immense joy in their laughter.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law Patty Alexander, and brothers-in-law Jason Alexander and Roger Thomas.

A graveside service to honor the life of Charles David Pierce will be held on October 28, 2023, at Curryville Baptist Church Cemetery in Calhoun, Georgia. The service will commence at 12:00 PM, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together and pay their final respects.

David's passing has left an undeniable void in the lives of those who knew him. However, his memory will forever be cherished and his spirit will live on through the love and kindness he shared with others.

In this time of grief, it is important to remember David's vibrant spirit and the wonderful memories he bestowed upon us. Let us celebrate his life by embracing the values he held dear - love, compassion, and kindness towards one another. May his soul find eternal peace and may his legacy continue to inspire generations to come.
