Charles Edward Daniel, age 55, of Calhoun. Died Sunday evening November 27th in Gordon Hospital. Charles was born February 29, 1956 in Gordon County. Son of William "Cowboy" Daniel and Inez Fisher Daniel. He enjoyed his family and cooking. He was a 1974 graduate of Red Bud High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton. Charles had been employed by Toyota Motor Company and OMC prior to his death. He attended the New Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Daniel and two sons, David and Gregory Daniel. Besides his parents he is survived by his brothers, Jimmy Daniel and his wife Sue, William Daniel, Jr. and his wife Brenda, Johnny Daniel and his wife Shelia, and Thomas Daniel and his wife Tammy all of Calhoun. One sister, JoAnn Roberts and her husband Anthony of Villa Rica. Three step-children, Lee Quinn, Jr., Courtney Davidson, and Audra Deems. Step-grandchildren, Whitney Skidmore, Turner Davidson and Michael Davidson. Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday November 30th at 2pm from the New Zion Baptist Church. With Rev. Lamar Bearden and Rev. Gene Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving include, Clifford Daniel, Timmy Daniel, A.J. Daniel, Tony Roberts, Shane Roberts, and Tim Lock. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 4 until 8pm.
