Charles William Clark

Charles William “Bill” Clark, age 79 of Calhoun, passed away Monday afternoon April 8, 2013 at his residence. Bill was born October 13, 1933 in Gordon County, son of the late John Virgil Clark and Lucy Elizabeth Keene Clark, he was of the Church of God faith and had been employed by Lockheed for 42 years prior to his retirement. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Clark and Carl Clark, three sisters, Dorothy Gravitt, Debbie Lee and Sarah Clark. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kathryn Williams Clark of Calhoun, one son, Darrin Clark and his wife Annette of Adairsville, two daughters, Brenda Dentmon and her husband Tom of Rome and Vickie Mason and her husband Danny of Buchanan, one sister, Betty Lewis of Calhoun, a sister in law, Virginia Clark of Merced, CA, brother in law, Oscar Gravitt of Calhoun, six grandchildren; Kelly Maddox, Karrie Kieser, Dana Cox, Tangi Dewberry, Cassie Hardin, and Haley Owens, seven great-grandchildren; Jazlyn Cox, Ariana Cox, Carissa Hardin, Carleigh Hardin, LaDarius Dewberry, Caleb Lillard, and Anna Maddox, a special caregiver and friend, Joan Bailey also survives. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday April 10th at 3:30pm at Gordon Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dennis Childers officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1 until 3pm at the funeral home. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association @ 17 Executive Park, Suite 115, Atlanta, Georgia, 30329.
