Cecil Pinkney Reese, age 100 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020 at his residence.
Cecil was born on March 17, 1920 in Black Mountain, NC, son of the late Benjamin Reese and Carrie Morrow Reese. In addition to his parents, Cecil was also preceded in death by: his first wife, Edith Dean Reese; and his second wife, Virginia Draper Reese. Cecil was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a Sargent at Fort Weaver, HI on December 7, 1941 during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Prior to his retirement, Cecil was the owner and operator of Reese Plumbing.
Cecil is survived by: his son, Alan Reese and his wife Theresa; daughter-in-law, Lynne Reese; two grandchildren, Holli Reese and Kari Ogden and her husband Darren; two great-grandchildren, Reese Ogden and Trevor Ogden; and two brothers, Oliver Reese and Daniel Reese.
A graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 2 PM in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery of Black Mountain, NC.
