Carolyn Whitaker

Thursday, March 11, 2010 Carolyn Whitaker age 65, of 578 Gee Rd. N.E. Calhoun died Thursday morning March 11th in Gordon Healthcare following several months of declining health. Carolyn was born in Sparta, Tennessee on Nov. 15, 1944 daughter of the late Morris S. and Nell Humphrey Whitaker. She was retired from R.U.S. Uniform Rentals and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in New Hope, Alabama. In addition to her parents a sister Marcie Whitaker preceded her in death in 2009. She is survived by one sisters; Joyce Gee of Calhoun. Three nieces and nephew; Pam and Robert Rhinehart , Brenda and Freddie Fletcher ,and Chris Gee all of Calhoun. Three great-nieces and nephews Nolan, Nelson, and Nicole Rhinehart. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday March 13th at 1pm CST from the Chapel of New Hope Funeral Home in New Hope, Alabama. With burial to follow in Whitaker Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include; Robert Rhinehart, Freddie Fletcher, Steve Smith, Jason Smith, Nolan and Nelson Rhinehart. The family will receive friends Saturday morning at 10am CST until the funeral hour. Thomas Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements for Carolyn Whitaker.
