.Thursday, March 18, 2010 Mrs. Carolyn D. Robinson age 74 of Calhoun died Thursday March 18th. following a brief illness. Carolyn was born in Gordon County on Jan 12, 1936 a daughter of the late James H. Davis and Ruby Wyatt Davis.Carolyn was a member of the South Calhoun Baptist Church and was employed at Dobbs and Company Accountants at the time of her death . Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; Jimmy and Kathy Robinson of Cohutta, Ga., grandchildren, Leigh Anne Akley and her husband Wes of Eatonton, Ga., Jennifer Middlebrooks and her husband Stephen of Rocky Face. Justin Robinson, Holly Robinson and Aly Robinson all of Cohutta, special cousins; Judy Henson and Nancy Johnson of Calhoun, her step-mother; Dolly Davis of Seattle, Washington: two sisters, Sandi Minty and Pamela Minga both of Seattle and her work family at Dobbs and Co. as well as her devoted girlfriends. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon Saturday March 20th. from the South Calhoun Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Bowman and Rev. Clifford Free officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Wes Akley, Stephen Middlebrooks, Craig Henson, Jason Henson, Dusty Johnson and Chris Davis and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at which time Carolyn will be carried to the South Calhoun Baptist Church to lie instate until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday evening.
