Carol Ann Stewart

Carol Ann Stewart, age 74, of Calhoun. Passed away Friday morning November 4th in the Specialty Hospital of Rome. Carol was born August 1, 1937 in Westchester, New York. Daughter of the late Robert McKinley Stewart and Florence See Stewart. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and prior to her retirement was employed by Mannington Carpet. Carol was a veteran of the United States Army where she served as a Staff Sargent. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Estelle Wood and three brothers, Harold, Robert and Douglas Stewart. Survivors include her special friend, Sherry Gibson of Adairsville. A nephew Bobby Stewart and niece Kathy Stewart both of Buchanan, New York. A number of other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday November 6th at 3pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Wayne Henderson officiating. The Henderson's will have charge of the music. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery with full military rites. Pallbearers serving include, James Stone, Sandy Hunter, Sammy Sikes, Michael Raven, Travis Trumbull, and Armin Martin. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
