Carl Edward Potts

Tuesday, November 28, 2006 Carl E. Potts, age 71 of Rome and formerly of the Sugar Valley community died at 1:55 PM, Sunday, November 26, 2006 at his residence. Carl was born in White, January 20, 1935, son of the late Ernest Lee Potts and Allie Pilgrim Potts. He had spent most of his life in Gordon and Floyd Counties. He is survived by his wife, Effie Byars Potts of Sugar Valley; one son, Eddie Potts of Sugar Valley; one brother, Everett Potts of Huntsville; three sisters, Janie Smith, Erma Satterfield, and Patty Jacobs all of Rome; and other relatives. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 Tuesday November 28, 2006 in the Franklin Cemetery with the Rev. Howard Duvall officiating. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Monday November 27th. from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Pallbearers serving include Shannon and Randy Edge.
