Carl Everett Gazaway, age 67 of Sugar Valley, GA, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at his residence.

Carl was born on May 20, 1954 in Cobb County, GA, son of the late Wesley Jewel Gazaway and Gisela Augusta Neusinger Gazaway. In addition to his parents, Carl was also preceded in death by: a brother, Howell Gazaway; and brother-in-law, Gerald Bryant. Carl was a veteran of the United States Navy. He loved to work with his hands whether it was as a steel worker, construction, or wood working. He loved the outdoors and reading his bible. Carl loved his children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

Carl is survived by: his son, Chris Gazaway and his wife Stacy of Cartersville, GA; two daughters, Carolyn Gazaway Satterfield and her husband Chris, and Nicole Gazaway Taylor and her husband Scott of Calhoun, GA; brother, Charles Wayne Gazaway and his wife Sharm of Calhoun, GA; three sisters, Sandra Sue Phipps of Ringgold, GA, Helen Burnette and her husband Jimmy of Sugar Valley, GA, and Elaine Bryant of Everette, Wa.; sister in law, Marsha Gazaway; twelve grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren also survive.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 3 PM until 5 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

The family will have a private graveside service.
