Sunday, October 01, 2006 Mr. Carl L. Adler, age 77, of 123 Brookstone Drive, Calhoun, died Sunday October 1st. at his residence following an extended illness. Carl was born in Long Island, New York on June 12, 1929 son of the late Carl and Edith Karllson Adler, but had spent the last three years of his life in Calhoun. He was a Real Estate broker, a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Calhoun First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Ruby Johnston Adler of Calhoun, Three sons: Bruce Adler of Westmoreland, New Hampshire, Glenn Adler of Kennesaw, and Douglas Adler of Westmoreland, New Hampshire., one brother; John Adler of North Port, New York. 8 grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday October 3rd. from the Calhoun First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ken Waddell officiating. Additional services will be conducted Saturday October 7th. at 11:00 A.M. from the Westmoreland United Church of Christ with Pasul Cullety officiating with interment to follow in South Village, Cemetery in Westmoreland, New Hampshire. A visitation will be held in New Hampshire on Friday evening. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, prior to the Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Calhoun First Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
