Calvin Wyatt Weaver, age 48, of Fairmount, passed away Monday evening January 14, 2013 in Gordon Hospital. Wyatt was born January 15, 1964 in Gordon County, son of Calvin Lawrence Weaver and the late Mary Wood Weaver, he was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a graduate of Red Bud High School and attended West Georgia College. Wyatt was a marching band instructor, who loved his family, gardening, and studying and operating computers. He worked many years in retail with Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Survivors include: his father, C.L. Weaver; one sister, Cindy Leatherwood and her husband Jim; one brother, Richard Weaver; niece, Cary Brock and her husband Chuck; nephews, Mark Leatherwood and his wife Lora of Brevard, NC, Will Leatherwood of Raleigh, NC; great-nephew, Carter Brock; and great-niece, Caylee Brock also survives. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, January 17th at 2:00pm from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Barry Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery. Wyatt will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 1pm until the funeral hour. Pallbearers include: Jim Leatherwood, Mark Leatherwood, Will Leatherwood, Greg Weaver, Chuck Brock, and Alan Green. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 16th from 4 – 8pm at Thomas Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Gideon’s.
