Calvin "C L" Lee Lackey

Mr. Calvin Lee “C.L.” Lackey, age 80, of Calhoun. Died Wednesday morning August 19th at his residence. C.L. was born in Gordon County February 28, 1929. Son of the late Thomas Columbus and Mandia Reece Lackey. He was a member of the Hall Memorial Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. Fafnir Bearing employed him prior to his retirement. His sister Mary Magalene Wilson preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Doris B. Lackey of Calhoun. Stepdaughter; Debbie Hogshead and her husband Tom both of Calhoun. His nephew; Michael Wilson and his wife Gween of Oak Ridge, TN.. A great niece; Cassie Wilson Rupert and her husband Shawn of Oak Ridge. A great nephew; Daniel Wilson and his wife Sandi of LaFollette, TN.. Two grandchildren; Angela Brown and her husband Dale of Colfax, N.C. and Eric Patterson of Arlington, VA.. Three great grandchildren; Amelia Brown, Zachary Brown, and Caroline Hogshead also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday August 21st at 11am from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Anthony Lombard officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Shawn Rubert will arrange music. Pallbearers serving include; Eric Patterson, Dale Brown, Shawn Rupert, Daniel Wilson, Harvey Harrelson and Steve Thomason. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 4 until 8pm.
