B.W. "Bill" Thomason

B.W. “Bill” Thomason, age 87 of Calhoun, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at his residence. Bill was born on February 9, 1928 in Gordon County to the late Clifford H. Thomason and Pauline Goble Thomason. He was a member of the Farmville United Methodist Church. Bill was also a member of the Elks Lodge, Rotary Club, VFW, and was the past president of the Independent Agents of Nevada. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lane Thomason; two sons, William Lane Thomason and his wife Krista, and Wayne Thomason and his wife Patty; three daughters, Leslie McDougle, Lynn Thomason, and Phyllis Cochran; two brothers, Edward J. Thomason, and Larry Raymond Thomason and his wife Janet; one sister, Barbara Gallman; ten grandchildren, Tasha Bunch and her husband Adrian, Danika Trice and her husband Matthew, Logan McDougle and his wife Kimberly, Carson Thomason, Katlyn Thomason, Colby Sexton and his wife Jasmine, Tim Thomason, Samantha Thomason, Eric Thomason and Matthew Thomason; four great-grandchildren, Aslann Trice, Kingston Bunch, Callie Sexton and Tanner Thomason; and special friends, Tony and Cherie Kula. Memorial Services will be conducted on Thursday, January 21st at 2:00 PM from the Farmville United Methodist Church with Reverend Guy Kent and Reverend Mitchell McDougle officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
