Bruce Henderson

Bruce Henderson, age 69 of Resaca, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at his residence. Bruce was born on March 23, 1943 in Murray County. He was the son of the late Roy Bruce Henderson, Sr. and Opal Davis. Bruce was the President and CEO of Carpet World Distributers. He was a member and past president of the Northwest Bass Club and a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Todd Henderson. Survivors include: his wife, Jewel Henderson of the residence; one daughter, Denise and her husband Mark Blackwell of Resaca; one sister, Janet and Ken Bell of Rainesville, AL; one sister-in-law, Gaynell and her husband Willie Bowman of Warner Robbins, GA; one grandchild, Jordan Henderson also survives. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00pm on Friday, November 16th from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Jimmy Timms officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include: Allen Blackwell, Cory Blackwell, Jason Bell, Kenny Bell, Adam Bowman and Brian Broadwater.
