Brenda Anell Easterwood

Friday, January 28, 2011 Brenda King Easterwood, age 62, of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 in Floyd Medical Center. Brenda was born December 31, 1948 in Floyd County. Daughter of the late Dallas George King and Nina Earle Ellis King. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and formerly employed by Trend Mills for 10 years and a home interior representative for 33 years. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Burnette. Survivors include; her husband, Gary Easterwood; a daughter, Amanda Leigh Easterwood of Calhoun; one brother, Jerry King and his wife Carol of Rome, GA; four sisters; Edna Brown, Betty Dutton and her husband Waymon "Doc" Dutton, Jo Anne Burnette and her husband Harold and Geraldine Fowler and her husband Doug, all of Scottsville, GA; four special nieces; Gina Hollingsworth, Pam Fowler, Kris Reece and Carla Boelhouwer; three nephews; Sammy Brown, Steve King and Mitchell King; a special great-nephew; Zachary Grantham; other great-nieces and nephews survive. In addition to her family, a special friend Jeannie Howell of Mount Pleasant, SC also survives. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00p.m. Sunday, January 30th at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with Reverends Clifford Free and Jackie Clayton officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 2:00 until the funeral hour Sunday. Pallbearers include; Wally Fox, Steve King, Mitchell King, Zachary Grantham, Gary Fowler, Warren Boelhouwer, William Jones and Aubrey Bowling. Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery with Rev. Gary Garland with graveside rights.
