Bonnie Inez Thomas

Monday, May 04, 2009 Mrs. Bonnie Inez Thomas age 97 of 193 Herrington Bend Rd. Calhoun, died Sunday May 3rd. in Gordon Health Care following an extended illness. Mrs. Thomas was born in Gordon County on April 21, 1912 daughter of the late Robert Thomas and Emily Fowler Miller and had spent her entire life here. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Zion Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband E.R. “Shorty” Thomas along with six sisters, three brothers and a son Aaron Thomas. Several nieces and nephews survive her. Funeral services will be conducted at 11: 00 A.M. Wednesday May 6th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Clifford Free officiating. Interment will follow in the New Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Charles and Donald Hopper, Bobby, Josh and Jamie Miller and Shane Strickland and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:45 A.M. Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 9:00 p..m. on Tuesday evening.
