Mrs. Bonnie Bunch Carney, age 84 of the Wesley Chapel Community died at4: 50 PM, Thursday, September 6th 2007 at her residence.
She was born December 10, 1922 in Gordon County, daughter of the late William David bunch and Ellen McQuerry Bunch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradford D. “Brad” Carney in August 1996.She was a lifetime resident of Gordon County and was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist church. She was a retired employee of Perfect Fit Industries of Calhoun.
Bonnie is survived by three sons, Terry and his wife Glenda, Mac and his wife Jean, and Darrell Carney all of Calhoun; two sisters, Velma Kelsey of Indianapolis and Arvie Gazaway of Attalla, Alabama; grandchildren, Shane and Charity Carney, Brandon Carney and Kyle Carney; one great grandchild, Brady Carney.
Funeral services will be conduced at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 8, 2007 the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with the Reverends Ike Parker and Larry Naylor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Donna Couch and Sally Jones will have charge of the music.
The family will receive friends after 4:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Jan Greeson, Louie McEntyre, Gary Fuquea, Jackie Hollingsworth, Larry Thomason, Bo Richardson and Paul Jones. Honorary pallbearers are members of the adult Sunday School Class.
In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the United Methodist Children’s Home, 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur, Ga., 30030-4197.
