Bobby Jack Whitfield

Bobby Jack Whitfield, age 77 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Gordon Hospital. Bobby was born on May 5, 1939 in Gordon County to the late Otis Dennis Whitfield and Cleo Irene Pendley. He worked as a house mover for several years for Cochran Brothers House Movers. Bobby enjoyed various yard work with his tractor. In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Whitfield and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by two sons, Randall Whitfield of Calhoun and Bobby Brownlow of Arizona; son-in-law, Larry West; a daughter, Gail Peardon; two brothers, Trammell Whitfield of Calhoun and Kenneth Whitfield of Florida; seven grandchildren, Chris Peardon and his wife Joelle, June Floyd and her husband Danny, Brandy Brown and her husband Tracy, Sabrina Henderson and her husband Jerry, Shane Whitfield and his wife Ashley, Tyler Davidson and Jason Whitfield; he is also survived by several great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 29th at 1:30 PM at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Norris Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at New Zion Baptist Church. Pallbearers serving will be Danny Floyd, Bryan Floyd, Larry West, Skylon Peardon, Michael Burchett, Trevor Henderson and Shane Whitfield.
