Bobby Lee Spivey

Bobby Lee Spivey, age 83 of Resaca, GA, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.

Bobby was born on April 20, 1938 in Union Point, GA, son of the late Guy Spivey and Elsie Randall Spivey. In addition to his parents, Bobby was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo McCarley Spivey. Bobby has been a resident of Gordon County, GA since 1977 and was a member of Concord Baptist Church.

Bobby is survived by: four daughters, Lori Dobbins and her husband Gene, Tracey Blackmon and her husband Greg, Linda Allen, and Megan Bunch and her husband Mark; eight grandchildren, Beau Allen, Joseph Allen, Jessica Smith, Ashley Tapp, Jada Dobbins, Wesley Dobbins, India Jones, and Madison Bunch; ten great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Allen, Trinity Allen, Sarah Allen, Ruby Dobbins, Scarlett Whatley, Keiva Albert, Aniya Albert, Layla Albert, Shaylor Jones, and Lennon Jones; and sister, Virginia Gunn.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11 AM at Concord Baptist Church with Reverend Randy Sutherland officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery in Resaca, GA.

Pallbearers serving include: Bo Allen, Joseph Allen, Mark Bunch, Greg Blackman, Wesley Dobbins, and Gene Dobbins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 20, 2021 beginning at 5 PM at Concord Baptist Church.
