Blanche J. Murphy

Tuesday, September 05, 2006 Mrs. Blanche J. Murphy, age 87 of 370 New Zion Rd. , Calhoun, Died Monday September 1st. at the residence following several weeks of declining health. Mrs. Murphy was born in Richmond Indiana on June 2nd. 1919 daughter of the late Stanley Washington and Goldie Nellie Drew Liebert and had spent most of her life in Indiana until moving to Calhoun in 2004 where she resided with her daughter and son –in-law. She was a member of the Richmond Indiana Seventh Day Adventist Church, but attended the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church since moving to Calhoun. She was a homemaker and was active in the Senior Citizens Center in Calhoun. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Floyd Murphy, a son Jimmy Lee Murphy and a brother; Stanley W. Liebert Jr. Survivors include two daughters; Carole A. Huddleston of Calhoun and Betty J. Murphy of Richmond, Indiana, a son; Steven Floyd Murphy of Richmond , Indiana, two brothers; Earl and Charles Liebert both of Richmond, Indiana. Seven grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren , six great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren also survive along with nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday September 6th. from the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church with Phil White conducting the services. Additions services will be conducted at the Richmond Indiana Seventh Day Adventist Church with burial will follow in Friday September 8th. in the Glenhaven Memorial Gardens in Richmond, Indiana, with the Riggle-Waltermann Funeral Home in Richmond, Indiana in charge of the services. The body of Mrs. Murphy will be carried to the Church to lie instate from 10:30 until 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday. Thomas Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Blanche J. Murphy.
