Billy Wayne Williams, age 61 of Calhoun, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 in Floyd Medical Center.
Billy was born on November 27, 1953 in Chattooga, GA to the late Dennis Fain “Preacher” Williams and Betty Mae Bagley Williams. He was a great entertainer and loved all music, and was a self taught master guitarist from the age of 6. Billy performed with many famous musicians throughout his life. He will be greatly missed by not only his family by his musical family as well.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Dorsey Williams of Calhoun; son, Isaac Williams of Cartersville; daughter, Candace Scearce of Lincoln, AL; two step-daughters, Christy Walraven of Calhoun and April Wooten of Calhoun; brother, Mike Williams of Calhoun; two sisters, Vickie Marcotte and her husband Doug of Alpharetta and Sandra McFather and her husband Ed of Canton; two grandchildren, Isaac Duane Agan and Gibson Scearce; and four step-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 15th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Jether Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include Tyler Singleton, Johnny Walraven, Scott Wooten, Flipper McDaniel, Deke Findley, Randy Roe, Philip McDaniel and Dennis Williams.
The family will receive friends on Sunday prior to the funeral from 11AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM.
