Billy Mills,

Billy Mills Sr., age 81 of Calhoun passed away Sunday evening September 30th at Gordon Hospital. Billy was born November 13, 1930 in Gordon County, son of the late Leonard E. Mills and Bessie Mills. He was of the Baptist faith and was employed by Coronet Carpet prior to his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Mae Towe and his brother, Leonard Mills. Survivors include: three sons: Jeff Mills of Calhoun, William Milton Mills, Jr. and his wife Tina of Calhoun and Clarence Mills and his wife Donna of Calhoun; one daughter, Karen Dubonaski and her husband Dave of Calhoun; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2pm on Thursday, October 4th from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8pm on Wednesday, October 3rd at the funeral home.
