Billy Joe Caplinger

Billy Joe Caplinger, age 59 of Hill City, passed away on Friday, December 31,2021 at AdventHealth Gordon.

Billy was born on September 27, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Charles William Caplinger, Sr., and Mildred Stevens Caplinger. He was a self-employed mechanic, he had a heart of gold, and everyone loved him, Billy loved his family, and was one of a kind. He was a member of Hill City Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Caplinger, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Bramblett Caplinger; two daughters, Jessica Caplinger Hedges of Resaca, Amanda Caplinger Cochran of Resaca; two sisters, Ginger Hogue and her husband Leonard of Resaca, and Bobbie Jo Long of Chatsworth; four grandchildren, Hannah Cochran, Tyler Hedges, Kacee Cochran, and Kaydance Cochran; aunt, Jane Benson; and uncle, Kenny Stevens.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 3rd at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Barry Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Hill City Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 2nd from 1 PM until 5 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
