Billie Ruth Seabrooke Clackum, age 81 of the Ranger Community died at 7:10 pm, Saturday, February 24 at her residence.
Billie was born November 12, 1942 in Fitzgerald, Georgia, a daughter of the late William Harvey Seabrooke and the former Miss Myrtle Lee Fancher. She was formerly employed in the Dallas Paulding County School system. She received her B.S. degree from the University of Georgia, M.Ed. and Specialist in Education Degrees from Lincoln Memorial University. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Raymond Seabrooke, Lee Fancher Seabrooke, James Mark Seabrooke, and several nieces and nephews. She was a resident of Gordon County for over 20 years and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Calhoun.
Billie is survived by her husband, Ernest Derik Clackum, Sr.; three children, Ernest Derik Clackum, Jr and his wife, Sheila, Bonnie Ruth Seabrooke and her husband Jon Bloomfield, Joel William Clackum and his wife Lauren; grandchildren, Cahmbriel Clackum Yilidrin and husband, Bora, Cinnamon Clackum Cowart, Malcolm Clackum and partner Mikayla Via, Jeremiah Clackum and partner Lillie Mullins, Liberty Adolphi and her husband Trey, Isiah Clackum, Increase Clackum, Thomas Jackson, Dean Bloomfield, Dana Bloomfield, and Elliott Clackum; great-grandchildren, Praylee Cowart, Brooks Cowart, Madison Clackum, Braxton Adolphi, Zoey Adolphi, and Ela Yilidrin.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 28 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. with Dr. John Barber officiating. Chet and Reva Utz and Sherry Chapman will assist with music. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and burial will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery on Thursday, February 29th at 11 AM.
