Bill Lamar Silvers

Bill Lamar Silvers, age 61 of Chatsworth, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 in Murray Medical Center. Bill was born on September 27, 1956 in Chicago, IL to the late John Willis Silvers and Emma “Maggie” Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Johnny Ray Silvers. He was a member of East Calhoun Church. Bill was a fan of NASCAR and NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhart. He also enjoyed fishing. Bill is survived by his children, Pamela S. Clark, Penny L. Henson, Marsha B. Silvers, Melinda A. Daniel, Ryan S. Silvers, Tonya A. Kinsey, Anthony L. Wood Jr., Ricky J. Wood, and J.J. Wood; three sisters, Elisa Stone, Charlotte Corn, and Barbara Anderson; nineteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, November 27th at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Hadden officiating. Interment will follow in Crane Eater Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday prior to the funeral from 12 PM until the funeral hour at 2 PM.
