Betty Jo West

Wednesday, August 24, 2011 Betty Jo West, age 78 of the Fairmount Community, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in Gordon Health Care. Betty was born October 16, 1932 in Gordon County. Daughter of the late Cleburn and Edna Bunch Clark. Betty was a member of the Pleasant Grove (RYO) Baptist Church for over 50 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett West and a brother, Jerry Clark. Survivors include; One daughter; Teresa and her husband Ronnie Bramlet of Calhoun. Two brothers; Bobby Clark of Chatsworth and Jimmy Clark of Fairmount. Three sisters; Jeanie Rutledge of Fairmount, Virginia Ann Silvers of Cumming and Martha Hendrix of Cartersville. Three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00p.m. Friday, August 26 at Pleasant Grove (RYO) Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove (RYO) Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include; Chad Whitlock, Chad Silvers, Dexter Bramlett, Tyler Bramlett, Chuck Clark and Ronnie Bramlett. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 25 from 5:00 - 8:00p.m at the funeral home. Ms. West will be taken to the church on Friday, August 26 to lie in state from 1:00p.m. until the funeral hour.
