Betty Weaver

Thursday, August 02, 2007 Mrs. Betty Patterson Weaver, age 67 of 312 Pleasant Valley Rd., Fairmount, Ga. died today ( Thursday August 2nd ) in the Heartland Hospice following a brief illness. Betty was born in Stephens County, Ga. on Oct. 21, 1939 daughter of the late James Edward and Geraldine Strickland Patterson. She was a member of the Calhoun First Baptist Church and prior to her retirement was employed by Nations Bank/ Bank of America . She was an avid bridge player and a member of the Calhoun Gordon County Historical Society. Survivors include her husband James W. “Jim” Weaver, one daughter; Pam Drake and her husband Dwayne of Ocala , Fla. , one son Scott Weaver and his wife Laura of Macon, three brothers; Gerald Patterson of Ft. Myers, Fla., Tim Patterson of Canon, Ga. and Farrell Patterson of Carnesville, Ga., five sisters; Barbara Warren of Roswell, Brenda Gable of Auburn, Ga., Glenda Merton of Clarksville, Ga., Jennifer Bozeman of Auburn, Ga. and Kay Landrum of Martin, Ga. her mother-in-law; Bonnie Weaver of Calhoun and Four grandchildren; Justin, Evan and Madison Drake of Ocala, Fla. and Sophia Weaver of Macon, along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday August 4th. from the Calhoun First Baptist Church with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers and are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 P.M. Saturday. An honorary Escort will be the Mattie Lou Strain Sunday School Class and they are asked to meet at the Church at 1:45 P.M. Saturday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday evening. Darlene Wright, Valerie Robbins and Rebecca Owens will have charge of the Music.
