Betty Jean Wilson Walraven

Betty Jean Wilson Walraven, age 86 of Resaca, GA, passed away on Wednesday night, July 14, 2021 at AdventHealth Gordon.

Betty was born on November 19, 1934 in Gordon County, GA, daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Wilson and Pearl Hensley Wilson. She was a homemaker and member of the White Graves Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Lloyd Walraven; son, Johnny Walraven, two brothers, Buford “Burl” Wilson and Jerry Wilson; and sister, Mellanese “Niecy” Correll.

Betty is survived by: her son, Jeffery Walraven and his wife Rhonda of Port Gibson, MS; daughter, Clara Brown and her husband David of Resaca, GA; two sisters, Billie Walraven of Resaca, GA and Polly Scott and her husband Bradley of Ranger, GA: seven grandchildren, Nicole Brown, Nathan Brown and his wife Jackie, Justin Walraven, Vickie Walraven, Shauna Thompson, Tiffiany Walraven, and Hannah Roberts and her husband Gus; and nine great-grandchildren..

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Isaac Johns and Reverend Will Allen officiating. Burial will follow in White Graves Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 1 PM until the funeral hour at 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
