Betty Walraven

Betty Walraven, age 68 of Resaca, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Betty was born on May 7, 1947 in Murray County, GA to the late Hughes F. Long and Bessie Singleton Long. She was a homemaker and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by brothers, Junior Long, Will D. Long, Martin Long; and sister Kathryn Serritt. She is survived by her husband, Tony Walraven; daughter, Kecia Timms Pickard of Ooltewah, TN; brother, Hubert Long and his wife Virginia of Resaca, GA; two grandchildren, Jade and Camden Pickard; great-grandchild, Hunter Bain. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday April 13th at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne Shadix officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery in Murray County. Pallbearers serving will include Ron Jackson, Henry Timms, John Bain, and Camden Pickard. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
