Betty Darnell Roberts

Betty Darnell Roberts, age 81 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Sunday, December

12, 2021 at Advent Health - Gordon Hospital.
Betty was born on May 14, 1940 to the late Annie Mae Darnell and Herbert
Darnell. She spent her entire life in Gordon County, retiring from Gordon County
Schools after 20 years in Special Education. Betty was preceded in death by her
husband Autry Roberts in 2015, to whom she was married for 57 years. She was
also preceded in death by her stepmother Lucille Darnell, and a sister Dorethea
Caylor.
She is survived by two daughters. Cindy (David) Burton, Pam (Milton) White, and
son, Bryan Roberts all of Calhoun. Grandchildren Justin (Lauren) White of Pelham
AL, Josh (Tess) White of Calhoun, Thad Burton of Tifton, GA and Anna Burton of
Tifton, GA. Great Granddaughter Allie Jo White of Pelham Al. Sister Shirley
Sexton, Sister-in-law Loretta Bryant. Loving caregivers Deborah Helton, Tina
Holland, and Holly Cook. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Tuesday December 14 from 5 to 7 PM at the
funeral home.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday December 15 at 2 Pm at Fain
Cemetery. Pallbearers are Justin White, Josh White, Thad Burton, Kevin Allen,
and Gary Yeager.
