Betty Floyd Byerley, age 89 of Plainville, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 26th at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Betty was born on June 2, 1931 in Gordon County to the late Robert Ray Floyd and Mollie Scott Floyd. She was a lifetime resident of Gordon County and a devoted member of Plainville Independent Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Byerley; brother, Jerry Floyd; sisters, Mildred Floyd, Hildreth Woods, and Clemmie Wright.
She is survived by her son, Terrelle Byerley and his wife Pamela of Plainville; brother, Lex Floyd; two grandchildren, Kelly Bramblett, Jenny Gravitt and her husband Wade; three great-grandchildren, Addysen Bramblett, Ryder Gravitt, and Bodi Gravitt.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 28th at 2 PM at Plainville Independent Methodist Church with Reverend Travis Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Shay Wright, Ricky Coker, Jim Treglown, Dempsey Wright, Chad Floyd, Scott Shaw, Wade Gravitt, and Bo Nicholson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 27th at Thomas Funeral Home from 3 PM until 6 PM. Betty will lie-in-state at the church Monday, December 28th from 1 PM until the funeral hour of 2 PM.
