Mrs. Beatrice Jenkins Cronon age 72 of 125 Windsor Drive, Calhoun, died Wednesday evening in Redmond Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Gordon county on April 5, 1935 daughter of the late Henry Clay and Mary Cleo Cagle Jenkins and had been a lifetime resident. She was an owner and manager of the Georgia North Antique Mall in Adairsville and was a member and former Worthy Matron of the Fairmount Chapter of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Bobby Cronon in 1978.
Survivors include her husband Acey Cronon of Calhoun, one daughter and her husband; Sandra and Rick Ross of Rockmart, Ga., one son and his wife; Charles and Cheryl Cronon of Cartersville, one brother and his wife; Robert and Margaret Jenkins of Monroe, Ga, two sisters; Ella Mae Crider and her husband Buck of Lizella, Ga. and Lois Johnson of Ellijay. Seven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday Feb. 23rd from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Parham Hammontree officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include Anthony and Lamar Cronon, Jonathan Bennett, Steve, Lee and Bill Cronon and they are asked to meet at the Funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Saturday. Honorary pallbearers will be employees and dealers of Georgia North Antique Mall.
Mable Harris, Mary Wilson and Iris Parker will have charge of the music.
The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. today (Thursday and again from 3:00 until 7:00 on Friday).
