Baxter C. Eldridge

Monday, July 07, 2008 Mr. Baxter C. Eldridge age 63 of 216 Brittney Dr., Calhoun, died Sunday July 6th. in Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome. Mr. Eldridge was born in Arnoe, Va. On November 3, 1944 son of the late Floyd and Mattie Caudill Eldridge and had resided in Benham, Kentucky before moving to Calhoun 5 years ago. He was a retired Coal Miner/ Underground Electrician and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife Rosie Lee Ward Eldridge of Calhoun, Three sons; Tommy D. Eldridge and his wife Cary of Adairsville, Charles F. Eldridge and his wife Jamie J. of Calhoun and Richard W. Eldridge of Calhoun, One daughter; Amy Eldridge of Calhoun, two brothers; Rubin Eldridge of Blair , Ky, and Fred Eldridge of Lynch, Ky, four sisters; Alice Polson of Cumberland , Ky, Nadine Franklin of Partridge, Ky, Kathy Shields and Wilma Eldridge both of Cumberland, Ky. Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday July 9th from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Tommy, Charles, and Richard Eldridge and Kyle Barfield and they are asked to meet at the Thomas Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 4:00 Until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
