Barry Jerome Chadwick

Monday, August 14, 2006 Barry Jerome Chadwick, nickname “Goose”, age 43 of the Sitton Road Community died early Sunday, August 13, 2006 at his residence following an unexpected illness. Barry was born, May 26, 1963, son of Howard Chadwick and the late Mary Ida Thomas Chadwick. He was preceded in death by one sister, Pam Chadwick and his grandparents, Gertrude and Carl Chadwick, Oscar and Ida Thomas. He was a graduate of Calhoun High School and had been formerly employed by Belwood School and Fafnir of Calhoun. His hobbies were traveling, bowling and playing pool with his family and friends. He attended Philadelphia Baptist Church. Barry is survived by his father, Howard Chadwick and one brother Scottie Chadwick both of Calhoun, one sister and brother in law, Rita and Don Cigainero of Adairsville; one niece, Gina Cigainero of Adairsville; aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 16 at the Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Reverends Tim McCulley and Gary Bowman officiating. Rachel Harris and Linda Chadwick will have charge of music, and burial will be in Fain Cemetery with Reverend Harold Blackstock in charge of graveside services. The body of Mr. Chadwick will lie in state from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church preceding the funeral. Pallbearers are Culton Thomas, Max Blalock, Randy Edge, Kevin Parker, Jerome, Gregg, and Harry Carver. They are asked to meet at the church at 12:30 PM Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 9:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Thomas Funeral Home has charge of arrangements for the services of Barry J. “Goose” Chadwick.
