Sunday, November 15, 2009 Mrs. Anne Young, age 86 of Calhoun, died Saturday November 14, 2009 in the Gordon Health Care center following an extended illness. Mrs. Young was born in Bartow County on July 23, 1923 daughter of the late Robert Henry and Elizabeth Elvira Edwards Chattin. She was a member of the East Calhoun Church of God, had been employed by Gordon Hospital in the food service department. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her, two sons, Randall and Stanley Young, a sister, Jessie Childers, and brothers; James and Henry Chattin. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-laws; Linda and Robert Bartenfield and Janice and Darrel Sutherland, two daughters-in-law; Cheri and Becky Young, grandchildren; Chuck and Karen Bartenfield, Brian and Bridgett Young, Tamera and Keith Ray, Jonathan Young, Jami and Jimmy Carnalia, and Eric and Mary Young, Great-grandchildren; Keisha and Nick Robison, Amber and Adam Diskey, Brittany Bartenfield, Hannah and Hope Young, Maison and Kaleb Ray, Noah, Jordon, Candence, and Zoe Curnalia and Joshua Young, Great-great-grandchildren; Taylor and Karley Robison, and the Father of her children Onice Young. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday November 17th from the East Calhoun Church of God with Rev. Luther Raines and Rev. Keith Reid officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Charles Baker, Tony Childers, Ronnie Childers, Tim Duncan, Gerald Childers, Buryle Young and Lamar Thomas and they are asked to meet at the Church at 12:45 P.M. Tuesday at which time the body will be placed in the Church to lie instate from 1:00 until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday evening. Luthre and Betty Raines will have charge of the music. In addition to flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the East Calhoun Church of God Building fund and the family also requests that no food is to be served at the funeral home.
