Mrs. Annie Ruth Parsons, age 90 of Woodstock, Ga. formerly of Calhoun, died today January 7th in Calhoun Health Care following an extended illness.
Mrs. Parsons was born in Gordon County on June 21, 1918 daughter of the late Joseph James Anderson and Fannie Ethel Smith Anderson and had been a lifetime resident. She was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Adam Parsons in 1988 and two sisters; Jeanette Adcox and Mildred Brown.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Jean and Donald Rutledge of Resaca , one son and daughter-in-law; Harry and Christina Parsons of Collegedale, Tn., two grandchildren; Rhonda Couch and her husband Johnny and Todd Rutledge and his wife Jill, two great-grandchildren; Kayla and Lisa Couch.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday January 9th from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Timms amd Rev. Harold Blackstock officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include Spencer, and Larry Brown, Johnny Couch and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 P.M. Friday.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.
