Annie Mae Nicholson

Thursday, November 22, 2007 Mrs. Annie Mae Nicholson age 78 of 324 Cherokee Drive, Calhoun, died Thursday November 22, 2007 in Calhoun Health Care following a short illness. Mrs. Nicholson was born in Gordon County on Feb. 28, 1929 daughter of the late Jim and Prude Bagley and had been a lifelong resident. She was a member of the East Gate Baptist Church and had worked for Gordon Hosptial in the Dietary Department. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 1st.husband; Jr.(Roy) Ray, her 2nd. husband Nick Nicholson along with two sons; Lamar and James Ray. Survivors include one son; Darrell Ray of Calhoun , a daughter-in-law; Sandra Ray Malone of Norcross, Ga., one brother; Albert Bagley of Dalton and four grandchildren; Sheila Watkins of Canton, Carmon Ray of Acworth, Tony Ray of Calhoun and Michael Ray of Acworth, several great-grandchildren; Chris Watkins and Sheena Ray and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday November 24th. from the chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Laster officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 P.M. Saturday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday.
