Wednesday, December 13, 2006 Mrs. Annie Lou Hightower, age 90 of 447 Baxter Rd., Calhoun, died Wednesday December 13th. in Gordon Hosptial following a brief illness. Mrs. Hightower was born in Whitfield County, Ga. on August 1, 1916 daughter of the late Sylas and Dory Logan Silvers. She had spent all of her life in Gordon County, was a homemaker and a member of the House of Prayer Baptist Church Church in Calhoun. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Will Hightower, and two brothers; Alfred and William Silvers. Survivors include one daughter ; Robbie L. Charles and her husband Elford of Calhoun, three sisters; Arbelle and Glennie Silvers and Ordelle Mathis all of Dalton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday December 15th. from the House of Prayer Baptist Church on the Dews Pond Rd. with Revs. Gene Clark and Andy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakman, Ga. The body will be carried to the Church to lie instate from 4:00 P.M. Thursday until the funeral services at 11:00 A.M. on Friday . Pallbearers serving include David, Freddy, Lee and Herb Charles, Tommy Hightower, Shawn Radford and they are asked to meet at the Church at 10:45 A.M. on Friday. Rev.
