Annie Holcomb Erwin

Mrs. Annie Holcomb Erwin, age 93 of Calhoun, GA passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 at Assured Hospice Care of Cartersville, GA. Annie was born on March 11, 1927 in Gordon County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Taylor Pickens Holcomb and Lelah Agnes Shaw. In addition to her parents, Annie was also preceded in death by: her husband, C.M. Erwin; two brothers, Roy Holcomb and Otis Holcomb; and sister, Mildred Holcomb. Annie was employed by Robertson’s Department Store for 35 years, serving customers in the shoe department and throughout the store. She was a member of Adairsville Baptist Church and previous member of Blackwood Springs Baptist Church. She served with the Sonoraville Eastern Star until it’s depletion, filling each office to include Worthy Matron. She was also active as a key member in the Calhoun High School Band Boosters. Annie is survived by: her son, David Erwin and his wife Tina; four grandchildren, Tony Erwin and his wife Amy. Jeremy Erwin and his wife Mandy, Dustin Wilbanks, and Elizabeth Brock and her husband Shane; seven great-grandchildren, Jase Erwin who was her pride and joy, Conner Spriggs, Anna Hall, Lexie Erwin, Cole Wilbanks, Lauren Anderson, and Bridget Wilbanks; and sister-in-law, Annelle Holcomb. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, April 16th at 12 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Hunt and Eric Sorrell officiating. Interment will follow in Blackwood Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include: Dustin Wilbanks, Tony Erwin, Jeremy Erwin, Joey Dean, Jimmy Dean, Erwin Holcomb, and Ernie Holcomb.
