Annette June Holcomb

Annette June Holcomb, age 84 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at her residence. Annette was born on June 4, 1934 in Walker County, GA to the late Samuel Ferrell and Jettie Foster Ferrell. In addition to her parents, Annette was also preceded in death by: sister, Wanda Ferrell; brother, Bob Ferrell; and son, Rick Holcomb. Annette and her husband, Richard, settled in Gordon County and raised their two daughters and son. Annette and Richard later moved to Mexico Beach, Florida where they resided for 30 years. Annette was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. Annette is survived by: her husband, Richard Holcomb of 65 years; two daughters, Cindy Davis and her husband Keith of Calhoun, and Robin Roe and her husband Tim of Calhoun; sister, Sylvia McGaha; and three grandchildren, Sarah Lecker and her husband Zach, Wimberly Roe, and Walker Roe. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, January 19th at 4 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are: Lance Bentley, Adam Rutledge, Keith Davis, and Tim Roe. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 PM until the funeral hour at 4 PM at the funeral home.
