Annette Prater Hayes

Sunday, March 02, 2008 Mrs. Annette P. Hayes, age 77 , of Calhoun, died Saturday March 1st. in Hamilton Medical Center following a sudden attack. Annette was born in Gordon County January 6, 1931, daughter of the late Hugh Hall and Ruby Adalee Bennett Prater. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She was an active volunteer with many of Gordon Counties civic organiations. Annette was preceded in death by her husband Crawford Hayes and two sons; Lamar and Lynn Hayes. She is survived by her brother, Rex Prater and his wife Patsy of Calhoun, a daughter-in-law; Barbara Hayes of Rocky Face, Grandchildren, Brianne Hayes, David Hayes, Jamie Hayes and his wife Hillery. Great-Grandchildren, Katlyn, Joshua, and William Hayes. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday March 3rd. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Jason Jones, Shawn Smith, Brandon Allen, Billy Thomas,David Prater and Steve Maiscewski and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 P.M. Monday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday.
