Anne Wallace

Thursday, August 17, 2006 Mrs. Ann Whittemore Wallace, age 90 of Decatur, Ga. died Wednesday August 16th. in the Meadowbrook Nursing Home , Tucker, Ga. following an extended illness. Mrs. Wallace was born in Gordon County on May 2, 1916 daugther of the late Ben and Kate Foster Whittemore and had spent all of her adult life in Gordon County. She was a homemaker, a member of the Oak Grove Methodist in Decatur, The garden Club and was very active in Volunteer work. She loved to travel ,do yard work , go fishing, and take care of her family. A dedicated mother, grandmother, and wife who took care of her husband John T. Wallace for five years prior to his death in 1969. Survivors include her daughter; Jane Wallace Reed of Decatur, Ga., her son Michael B. Wallace of Atlanta, and a sister; Julia Whittemore Nelson of Calhoun. Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Graveside and interment services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday August 19th. from the Fain Cemetery with Rev. Joe Garrett officiating. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M.
