Anne L. Cronon was born February 2, 1944, the daughter of Ruth Lynch. Anne was born in Gordon County, and grew up in Armurchee, Georgia. Anne dearly loved her stepfather Bud Lynch, who passed away when she was a young girl. She graduated from Armurchee High School with honors. After graduation, she worked in the Law Offices of Harry Lawrence, and was Executive Secretary at Crown Craft. She married Larry Cronon, and settled in Calhoun. She had one son, James “Jim” B. Cronon. An avid reader, she frequented the Calhoun Gordon County Library, donating hundreds of books over the years. She loved to garden. Her yard was a haven for birds, wildlife, and cats. She particularly loved Siamese cats. She collected antiques from Occupied Japan. She will be missed dearly by all of her family. Anne is survived by her husband, Larry Cronon, son Jim Cronon and his wife Charisse, and her grandchildren Andrew and Aaron. Anne is also survived by her cousin, Linda Rogers and husband David. Funeral Services will be conducted for Anne L. Cronon on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Blackstock officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
