Ann Mosteller Watts

Ms. Ann Mosteller Watts, age 71 of Calhoun, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at her residence. Ann was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 15th, 1948 to the late Hoyt Lamar Mosteller and Vivian Thigpen Mosteller. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Watts Petty. Ann was a member of Calhoun First United Methodist Church and she attended Nellie Peters UMC. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. Prior to her retirement, she was a nurse practitioner with State of Georgia. She is survived by her companion, Simmons Watts; two children, John Watts and his wife Jennifer of Canton and Walter Watts and his wife Kim of Monroe; one brother, Robert Mosteller; and three grandchildren, Marshall Petty, Montana Petty, and Phillip Watts. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 25th at 11 AM from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Archer and Rev. Sean Hachem officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM on Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Calhoun First United Methodist Church @ 205 E.
