Ann Stephens Hall, age 76 of Resaca died at 12:51 PM, Sunday, October 9 in Tranquility of Dalton.
Ann was born, May 1, 1940 in Augusta, daughter of Claude Stephens and Dell Dooley Stephens. Also, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Murel, Clyde, Don, Lamar, and Jimmy Stephens; foster parents, E.W. “Fat” Chitwood and his wife, Lilla Young Chitwood and two foster sisters, Connie and Debbie Chitwood. She had been employed by Dr. Harvey Wages of Dalton for over 30 years as a nurse; and was a member of the Swamp Creek Baptist Church of Whitfield County.
Ann is survived by her husband, Fred Hall of Resaca, two sons, Eddie Hall of Calhoun and Chuck Hall of Moxon, Montana; two sisters, Betty Spratling of Buford and Kay C. Fowler of Calhoun; five grandchildren, Riley Hall, Travis Hall, Hannah Hall Holland and her husband Max, Peyton Schwartz, and Ross Dixon; niece, Mary Ann Farrah of Atlanta, and several additional nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 11 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverends David Ray and Mark Seay officiating. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Riley Hall, Travis Hall, Max Holland, Benny Hall, David Fowler, and Donnie Ralston. The Hall family will receive friends Monday, October 10 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
