Angel Ruth Thomason

Angel Ruth Thomason, age 45 of La Fayette, GA, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at her residence.

 Angel was born on May 31, 1978, the daughter of Loretta Diane Furr and Jackie Thomason. She was preceded in death by her stepfather Jerry Lamar Smith, a host of grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Angel was a graduate of Northwest Whitfield High School, Class of 1998. She loved music and her church and was “our special girl”.

 Angel is survived by: her mother, Loretta Diane Smith; father and step-mother, Jackie and Tammy Thomason; grandmother, Mary Helen Watson; sisters, Sunshine Kitchen and her husband Jimmy, Grace Smith, Ashely Miller, Sarah Wynn and her husband John; brothers, Mark Thomason, Timothy Thomason and his wife, Lauren, Moses Thomason and his wife, Kimala, and Elijah Thomason; 9 nephews; 4 nieces; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. The Funeral service will begin at 3:00 P.M. also in the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Evans Parker officiating. 

Burial will be in the Mill Creek Community Cemetery on Miracle Drive in the Rocky Face Community of Whitfield County.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Angel be made to offset final expenses.
