Alton "Bucky" Monroe

Tuesday, January 12, 2010 Mr. Alton M. “Bucky” Fox, age 73 of Calhoun died Sunday evening in Redmond Regional Medical Center. Bucky was born, April 1, 1936 in Gordon County, son of the late, Asa M. Fox and Ruth Gaines Fox. He was formerly employed by Backing, Inc. and Firestone as plant manager. He was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church. Bucky is survived by his wife, Mildred “Renee” King Fox; one son, Burton Fox and his wife Sharon; two grandsons, Jacob Fox and Benjamin Fox all of Calhoun; one sister, Betty Pass of Marietta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 13 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Wesley Hunt officiating. Madison Hunt will have charge of music, and burial will be in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Mitchell King, Chad King, Bob Pass, Steve Pass, Tom Davis, Bobby House, and Charles Rickett. They are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:45 PM Wednesday.
