Alma "Tomma Sue" Sanford

Alma “Tomma Sue” Sanford, age 60, of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday Morning June 5th at her residence. Tomma Sue was born Oct 17, 1952 in Fannin County, daughter of the late Thomas M. Norton and Rachel Sallie Patterson Norton. She was attending Valley Baptist Church of Dalton at the time of her death and besides her parents was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Joe Sanford, one sister, Adel Burk and a brother, A.J. Norton. Survivors include her daughter, Tracy Sanford of Calhoun, two sisters, Audrey Ritchie of Blue Ridge and Ann L. Higdon of Kennesaw, one granddaughter, Michelle Lemons as well as a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday June 7th at 11am from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Charlie Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery with Anthony Sanford, Mike Bennett, Wesley Sanford, Bill Ritchie, Drannon Higdon, and John Acuff serving as pallbearers.
